To arrive at Perhentian Island, guest needs to take speed boat from Kuala Besut Jetty. Guests coming by air can take a flight from Kuala Lumpur International to Kota Bharu Airport in the state of Kelantan and Kuala Terengganu Airport. Guests travelling by road from KL, head east on highway 2 towards Kuantan and then proceed northeast to Kuala Terengganu on either highway 3 (coastal road) or highway 14. Alternatively, you can travel to Kuala Besut Jetty by coach. Travelling time is about 12 hours. Taxi ride from Wakaf Bharu to Kuala Besut Jetty Office will take about 45 minutes.
